IT User Skills - Level 1 Award

This introductory course will equip you with the IT skills needed for today's workplace. You will gain new IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office (covering word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software).

Topics covered can include:

• Word processing software (Microsoft Word)
• Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel)
• Presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint)

You do not need to have any previous qualifications.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

The course includes ongoing assessment and may include a final portfolio or exam.

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. The course gives you the chance to develop useful, transferable IT skills to help you progress to further learning, or employment in roles such as a junior administrator.
