If you’re aged 19 or over and are looking to get a job, advance in your career, go to university or start something new, we can help you achieve your ambitions. We have a large variety of courses taught by industry experts – including Access to Higher Education diplomas, practical work-based vocational courses (including BTEC, UAL and City & Guilds, from Entry Level through to Level 3) and more. All of our courses from Entry Level to Level 2 are FREE, regardless of your age or income.

If you’re not quite sure what you’d like to study, or want to retrain for a new career in a post-COVID world, we also run a large range of FREE short courses to help you gain new skills and try something new.

If you’re looking to study a university-level qualification, such as a HNC, HND, foundation degree or Bachelor’s degree, you can save money by studying at college and benefit from our small classes, with a personal tutor to support your learning and progression. All of our Higher Education courses are career-focused, to help you get where you want to be at work, with many available to study as part-time and day release options, to fit your schedule.

If you’re outside of the EU and looking to study in the UK’s capital, City and Islington College College is for you. We are a diverse, cosmopolitan college, welcoming international students from across the world – our community includes students of over 60 different nationalities speaking over 55 languages. We are a UKVI Tier 4 sponsor and have a dedicated international team to support you from applying through to studying with us.

City and Islington College offers one of the largest ranges of apprenticeships across London as part of our group training arm, Capital City College Training. Apprenticeships allow you to earn while you learn – many of our students begin their workplace career with an apprenticeship, but they can also be used to give you new skills and knowledge in your current role, allowing you to progress.
