ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Language)
This course is for young people whose first language is not English and who need extra support with their English to progress to higher-level study or employment.
Catering for a range of abilities and skill-levels, this course aims to boost everyone's confidence and employability skills. What you learn depends on your level of English. The course ranges from Entry (beginners) to Level 2 and includes exams in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also study Maths from Entry Level to Level 2 (GCSE) Employability Skill, Environmental Studies and IT.
As well as developing employability skills to help you in the world of work, learners will also have the opportunity to volunteer and gain work experiance, Careers guidance and discussions about your next steps are an important part of the course.
