College Life

Find out about college life at Capital City College Group.

We want to enrich your life with more than just qualifications. We want you to develop the broader range of skills and qualities employers look for, including communication, teamwork and problem-solving, as well as having a great time.

Current Affairs

Learn about and debate important topics with visiting experts, from human rights to genetics.

Student Discount Schemes

As a student, you will be eligible to apply for discount cards and accounts, such as TOTUM, UNiDAYS and Student Beans. These can give you discounts in high street shops and online, including at stores such as Apple, Superdrug and more. The college adds updates to the TOTUM app, allowing you to see updates on upcoming events and key dates. It’s free to download and ensures you’re kept in the loop at all times!

Support Others

Develop your teamwork skills and help others by becoming a student ambassador, study buddy or peer mentor, or by getting involved in campaigns such as Stand Up to Racism. Take part in volunteering and fundraising for local charities and organisations.

Celebrate Together

Join us to recognise and celebrate a range of college and public events, including our Graduation ceremonies, Black History Month, International Women’s Day and LGBTQ+ History Month.

Cafes and Social Spaces

Our centres have on-site canteens and cafés, serving a daily menu that includes healthy options. Canteen meals are great value for money and provide a great opportunity to relax with friends between lessons.

C-Card Scheme

The C-Card scheme is aimed at young people between 13-24 years old, who can register to get a range of free condoms, femidoms, lube, dams, information and advice.

Clubs and Societies

Get to know your fellow students through a range of student-run activities. Join our Student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Learner Voice or college clubs and societies – from Football and Table Tennis to Debate Society and Poetry Club! Why not join one of our sports teams and represent your college locally?

Sport and Fitness

If you are passionate about sports, why not join one of our Sports Academies which fits around your studies and includes training, support and full use of our sports facilities? Each of our academies is partnered with a local professional organisation to give you the best training, advice and opportunities in your chosen sport.

We also offer a wide variety of lunchtime clubs at both our Tottenham and Enfield Centres, including football, badminton, basketball, netball, boxing, table tennis and gym sessions. For more information please contact Robert Murphy on 0208 442 3676.

Gym

Some of our centres have fully-equipped gyms, which are open to students from across the college, during term time. You will be required to complete a short induction with our friendly, qualified gym staff – they are also able to support you with your personal fitness goals, alongside regular classes.
