Business student gets job after yoga work experience trip05 April 2018
A collection of our School of Enterprise Business students went on a work experience trip to the The Yoga Quarter (TYQ) in Holloway recently, with one student receiving a job at the end of the day because of her sparkling charisma.
The owner/founder Georgina Gray and her deputy manager Marianna Ivancsics, gave the students a tour of the premises and then Georgina gave an in-depth lecture about how to run a small business. Georgina weaved in and out with beautiful flair, precision and composure about the challenges, pitfalls, rewards and celebrations of running one's own business. The students had done some research on the organisation beforehand and designed an Employability Skills Questionnaire.
The trip was a huge success and as a result of one student's confidence and charisma namely Wiktoria Hajduk secured a job thereafter at TYQ. Wiktoria is now employed as the Public Relations and Marketing Assistant for the organisation. Well done!
The duo (Georgina and Marianna ) are dynamic and empowering and really serenaded the students with a host of great ideas about start-ups, marketing mix elements, strategies for good business as well as real life advertising, sales and promotion techniques.
This network/relationship with CBAT and TYQ is to be embedded into our calendar of yearly trips and as a rich and well sourced example of Corporate Social Responsibility within the local area.
