This intermediate spreadsheet course is designed to enhance your skills and proficiency in using Excel for a wide range of advanced tasks.
You’ll begin by building on your basic knowledge, learning how to effectively enter, update, and manage large datasets.
The course will guide you through advanced formatting techniques to make your data clearer, more visually appealing, and easier to interpret.
You'll gain hands-on experience with a broader range of Excel functions and formulas, including SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE, IF, VLOOKUP, and more. These tools will help you perform complex calculations, analyse data, and automate processes.
Additionally, you’ll discover how to create and customise charts and pivot tables to visually represent your data and provide deeper insights.
You will be equipped with intermediate Excel skills, allowing them to manage, manipulate, and analyse data confidently.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, EU citizen ID card, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK - your visa, your biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency should all be provided. If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen we will need to see evidence of 'Pre-Settled' or 'Settled-status' documents. Also for funding purposes we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC), Housing benefits etc. please provide evidence of this).
By the end of the course, you'll be equipped with the foundational skills needed to manage and analyse information confidently using Excel.
On completion of this course, you can progress onto further study.
