The "Multiply" provision in the UK is designed to empower adults with improved numeracy skills, which are essential for daily life and professional growth. This government-funded initiative offers free courses and support for people who struggle with math, helping them build confidence, manage their finances better, and enhance their job prospects. By engaging with Multiply, individuals gain practical skills that can lead to higher earnings, better employment opportunities, and a stronger foundation for lifelong learning. Taking advantage of this provision is a smart step toward personal and financial empowerment, benefiting individuals and the wider community.
In Multiply, you can choose the topics you study across a series of workshops to improve your confidence with numbers.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, EU citizen ID card, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK - your visa, your biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency should all be uploaded. If you're a EUEEA or Swiss citizen we will need to see evidence of Pre-Settled or Settled-status documents.
Also for funding purposes we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC), Housing benefits etc. please bring evidence of this).
When you come to complete enrolment, there will be a short Engineering Logic Test to complete as well.
Assessment is informal.
Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study or go on to use your new found maths skills in life.
