A network is two or more computers or devices that are connected by either a wired medium such as cables or by wirelessly Wi-Fi to communicate with one another. With new technologies enabling users to connect wirelessly through devices across the world, it is integral to keep users safe from hackers, scammers, and other security breaches online by maintaining a safe and secure network. This also includes providing knowledge of how to stay safe online for example pressing on unsecured links via email and social networking.
By learning the infrastructures of networking, you will not only gain the knowledge of how to keep yourself and others safe online but the ability to improve networking and implement networking infrastructures into any workplace.
During this course, you will learn the core skills in Network Fundamentals. This will include; network infrastructures for intranet, extranet, LANs, WANs, wireless networking, and network topologies; network hardware like switches, routers, and media types; and protocols and services like OSI Model, IPv4, IPv6, networking services, and TCP/IP.
At the end of this course, you will have the competency to take recognised professional certifications in this field.
