About the course
The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 2 Award in Nail Art is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of beauty therapy as a junior Nail technician. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a junior make-up consultant.
You will need to have a keen interest in Nail Art, a good reference, a good level of spoken and written English, as well as good communication skills. You will also need to carry out an assessment and will be interviewed.
This is a vocational qualification which includes all the elements to work effectively as a Junior Nail Art technician. The VTCT Level 2 Award in Nail Art is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide nail art. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment, and how to promote client care and communications in beauty related sectors. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.
You will be assessed on the practical work that you do in the beauty salon and:
- Online Test
- Oral Questioning
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve the VTCT Level 2 Award in Nail Art. You can then develop your skills further and progress on to Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
