Counselling Skills - Level 2 Certificate (CPCAB)
About the course
Are you interested in people and the relationships that they have?
This course will develop your understanding of how you and other people relate to those around you, including the importance of communication.
- No formal qualifications are required, but a 30-minute interview and a 500-word statement form part of the application process.
- You should have a keen interest in working with others and a commitment to helping people develop personally and professionally.
You will develop your listening and communication skills for use in everyday life and at work. This will include participating in a range of activities such as group discussions and triad role-plays. You will also develop your self-awareness, learning about yourself and yourself in relation to others.
You will keep a weekly journal and write 2 short assignments.
You will be required to produce a portfolio of coursework and undertake external assessment set by CPCAB (Counselling and Psychology Central Awarding Body).
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, awarded by the Counselling and Psychology Central Awarding Body.
The course leads on to the CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills or the CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Life Coaching Studies.

This course is part-time and runs on a Wednesday evening 5-9pm there are also 5 Saturdays which are 10-4.30 at the Finsbury park campus.
