A Level courses are a popular route into university, offering a wide range of subjects including some that you may not have studied at school.
We have the largest selection of A Levels in London, delivered at our Sixth Form College in Angel, London, and our King's Cross Centre.
The general minimum entry requirements to study A Levels at our colleges are below, however, each subject at each college has its additional requirements:
Sixth Form:
- Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, which must include English Language and Maths
- English Language GCSE needs to be at grade 5, as well as in at least two other subjects
- Most written subjects require a grade 5 in English Language, and a grade 6 in a second literary subject (e.g. English Literature, History, Business Studies, Sociology, Geography)
- BTEC Level 2 qualifications are not accepted in place of GCSEs
- To do four A Levels, you will need a minimum of seven GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 8 or above
- Sixth Form College does not accept A Level restarts or retakes
King's Cross:
- Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths
- Depending on the subject, you may require a grade 5 or higher in English Language and a second literary subject, or in Maths and a further science subject
- Each A Level may have additional requirements. Please check by selecting your subjects below
- King's Cross accepts A Level retakes and resits
