Computing and Digital Media - Level 1 Diploma

Designed to be completed in one year, the Diploma provides learners with the opportunity to study a range of units from different sectors within the suite, supporting progression to further study. The qualification aims to develop transferable skills, attributes, and behaviours essential for further education and, ultimately, employment.

The course is delivered in an applied manner, integrating relevant content with practical and technical skills. As a Level 1 qualification, achieving a pass requires learners to complete routine, simple, and directed tasks by applying their knowledge and skills. Learners are expected to complete tasks under supervision, direction, or guidance. At merit and distinction levels, they may be required to complete tasks in greater detail or with increased confidence and independence.

You will need Entry 3 level in  English and Maths, and basic IT skills

Assessment is continuous throughout the year and based on assignments and projects.

Adults - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2

If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. This course will help you to move on to higher level courses, such as level 2 Diploma in Computing/Digital IT or a pre-apprenticeship.
