Functional Skills Maths
We offer Functional Skills courses at Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Level 1. The courses are 5 hours per week, starting in September and ending with two written exams in June. We run classes in either the morning or afternoon; some levels are also available as evening classes.
Functional Skills are widely recognised across all sectors of employment and can be a stepping stone to GCSE.
We offer GCSE Maths at both Foundation and Higher levels. The courses are 6 hours per week, starting in September and ending with three written exams in June. We run classes in the morning, afternoon or evening.
GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above is a minimum requirement for many jobs, vocational courses, further and Higher Education.
You will take part in a range of activities to refresh and develop your maths skills, building your confidence in dealing with numbers, including money, measurements and graphs.
Once you have applied, we will invite you for an interview and entry assessment, to determine which level of maths is suitable for you.
All applicants must have an entry assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
Your progress will be monitored in a variety of ways and we offer a range of qualifications to demonstrate your achievements.
