A Level Geography expands your knowledge and understanding of the world around you, exploring topics such as globailisation, tectonic hazards and processes, and an examination of how coastal areas could be sustainably managed particularly with the challenges of climate change and rising sea-levels. You will also undertake a residential field work trip designed to provide you the skills to complete your coursework.
Linking with physical geography, you will study how superpowers have changed over time and health, human rights and intervention are explored. You will talso gain understanding of the water and carbon cycles and the links to water conflicts and energy security.

If you wish to study 4 A Levels, you will need 7 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including two at grade 8.
All applicants must have an interview to confirm that A Levels are suitable for them.
Assessment is 20% coursework, based on fieldwork reserch, and 80% examinations, with three exams at the end of the course.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.
