ABOUT THE COURSE

This course will prepare you for the the IELTS exam, required by many UK universities for speakers of other languages, including reading and writing academic texts, as well as a focus on listening and speaking. You will be able to apply to take the IELTS test at an IELTS testing centre in London, we will give you details of the IELTS testing centres during the course.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

This course will prepare you for the IELTS exam, including reading and writing academic texts as well as a focus on listening and speaking. Class sizes are kept small to maximise learning for everyone.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need:

  • To be aged 18 or older
  • To have a conditional offer of a place at a UK university, or to intend to attend a UK university in the next academic year
  • To complete an initial assessment to demonstrate an appropriate level of English 

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Your skills will be assessed regularly throughout the course. You will complete exam type assessments in all skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and receive feedback to help you improve.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Adults - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2


If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. The course is free.

You may be required to purchase a textbook at a cost of £25.
