The Veterinary Nurse apprenticeship is a great opportunity for learners who want to develop their skills and knowledge in providing expert nursing care for sick animals. By completing this apprenticeship, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, and be able to apply for professional registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), enhance your career prospects, and demonstrate your commitment to professional standards.

Who is it for?

This apprenticeship is for those working in a veterinary setting supporting the work of the caring for animals and working towards the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited Licence to Practise Veterinary Nursing qualification.

Progression

Apprentices who complete the Veterinary Nurse programme will aim to gain promotion to senior roles including: Head Nurse, Clinical Supervisor and Industry Representatives.

  • OAL - Lantra Level 3 Work Based Diploma in Veterinary Nursing - Small Animal - 60366771
  • 9 Occupational duties (KSBs)
  • English and Mathematics at level 2 where needed

End Point Assessment

The (up to) 6 month EPA process includes a professional discussion and practical assessment.
