Who is it for?

  • Professionals working within accountancy, finance, tax and bookkeeping within a variety of organisations.

  • Individuals wanting to go on to be an AAT full member (MAAT) or study chartered status.

To be eligible you must be able to evidence Maths and English at GCSE grade A-C or 4-9 or the equivalent FS Level 2 in Maths and English.

Progression

By completing this apprenticeship, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, an AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting, the Apprenticeship Certificate and a professional membership with the Association of Accounting Technicians. This will open up many career prospects and pathways for you in the Accounting and Finance sector.

Training

Included in the programme:

  • AAT Level 4 Certificate in Accounting
  • 17 Occupational duties (KSBs)

End Point Assessment

The three month EPA process involves a Synoptic Assessment (180 minutes), and a Professional Discussion (60 minutes)

Pass, Merit and Distinction grades may be awarded.

Next Steps

The next step may include:

  • Credits towards relevant undergraduate degree programmes
  • Level 7 qualification which is equivalent to a postgraduate degree level
  • Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship
  • Eligibility to apply for full AAT Membership status (MAAT)
