About

The Facilities Services Operative level 2 apprenticeship is a valuable opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a range of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of buildings and facilities. By completing this apprenticeship, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, enhance your employability, and career prospects, and demonstrate your commitment and professionalism to your employer and customers.

You will be assessed by:

  • EPA: End Point Assessment (3 Months)
  • Knowledge test - 20 MCQ questions. Paper-based/computer-based (40 mins) Grading: Fail  0% - 74% PASS 75% - 100%
  • Observation - Range of activities observed on-site by EPAO assessor (120 mins)  Grading (Fail, Pass, Distinction)
  • Structured Interview - 6 open competency-based questions (60 mins) Grading (Fail, Pass, Distinction)

There are no formal entry requirements, but candidates should be working over 30 hours per week.

All candidates will need to attend an information session and undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.

Further Information

Duration: Apprenticeships plus run this programme over a 15-month timeframe, with a learning period of 12 months and an end point assessment (EPA) of up to 3 months.

Progression

The Facilities Operative Level 2 apprenticeship is a valuable qualification that prepares learners for a range of careers in the facilities management sector. Learners who complete this apprenticeship will have the skills and knowledge to perform various tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, security, catering, and waste management. Training

Included in the programme are an IWFM Level 2 certificate in Facilities Services Principles, 10 Occupational duties (KSBs) and Functional Skills English and Maths Level 1 plus an attempt Level 2.
