Angel Shed Theatre Company

Our Centre for Business, Arts and Technology is home to the inclusive Performing Arts organisation, Angel Shed. The company have been delivering high-quality workshops and productions with children and young people in Islington for almost twenty years. Angel Shed is a registered charity, training many volunteers, including City and Islington College students, to work directly with participants in weekly sessions and termly performances.

Angel Shed Theatre Company

Angel Shed specialises in inclusive performing arts for children and young people. They provide a safe space for children to express themselves, develop confidence, and grow into curious, creative, and courageous young people. Angel Shed creates inspirational and outstanding youth-led theatre, focused on long-term collaboration with children and young people who are at the heart of the creative process from start to finish.

They facilitate accessible activities for children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities; anyone is welcome to join, there are no auditions, workshops are free to those who cannot afford them, and one-to-one support is provided for those who require it. As a result, greater inclusion is enabled for those most likely to be otherwise excluded: disabled children and young people, those with social, emotional and mental health needs, learning difficulties or disadvantaged backgrounds.
