Recruitment process
We've tried to make our hiring process as straightforward as possible. The exact details will vary depending on which position you're applying for, but as a guide the whole process from application to offer is likely to take 28 days in total. Typically the selection process will include an interview with a panel and you may also be asked to prepare a presentation or case study as part of the process.
We encourage people to apply for any position which they feel they're suitably qualified for and generally we receive large numbers of applications. Unfortunately that means we are only able to contact shortlisted candidates. If you haven't heard from us with 28 days of submitting your application, please assume that on this occasion you have been unsuccessful.
- Positions are advertised in the press,
online and on the college website for 14 days - A shortlist is drawn up within 10 days
of the closing date - Shortlisted candidates are invited to interview
- Interviews take place
- The successful candidate will be notified within 3 days
and a provisional offer will be made in writing - Reference checks and other pre-employment checks are made
- The successful candidate can now start work
Notice to agencies
City and Islington College do not accept speculative CVs or approaches from agencies and we would be grateful if you could refrain from contacting members of our staff directly. If you would like us to keep your details on file, please email your information to jobs@candi.ac.uk and we will be in contact should we require your assistance.
