Callum Coggin Costelloe

Studied: A-levels in History A*, English Literature A*, Media Studies A

Destination: History at King's College London

The teaching in general has been brilliant. I have a great relationship with the teachers – they’re always available to speak to when I need help, whether that is in or out of lesson time. I was able to take full advantage of City and Islington College’s partnership with Legal Action Group, a charity that promotes equal access to justice. Working with them helped me to understand law much better. I found it very interesting and it’s something I’ll now consider a career in."

Diana Gomez

Studied: A Levels in Spanish A, Government and Politics B, Philosophy B, Psychology D

Destination: Politics and International Relations at King's College London

Thanks to Candi, I was able to become the Young Mayor of Islington, a youth councillor, and a student union executive of the sixth form, as well as a volunteer with charity, Citizens UK who helped me to co-found the youth movement, ‘Stand Up, Stand Out’. As work experience- and part of my course – I work at Islington Council. I am a youth councillor and I have been lucky enough to meet Jeremy Corbyn and Emily Thornberry. I’ve got loads of good contacts to hopefully help me in the future. I want to become a diplomat. Overall, my experience at Candi was absolutely amazing!”

Brandan Preece

My career ambition is to have a clothing brand and the accountancy course prepared me for a lot of the things it takes to run a business. The tutors were inspiring and always have time for you – they go above and beyond. The college atmosphere has a buzz which helps you be excited to learn. My classmates were all really nice, which meant there was always a thriving classroom environment."

Chloe Theophilou

Studied: IT (software development) – BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

Destination: Computer Science at City University of London

One of the best things about the course is the confidence it gave me. It helped me to become a student rep for the college, which means I’m able to get my voice heard and make a difference. The support from staff is incredible – they are always happy to help, even out of college hours. The support from the staff is the number one reason I got my assignments handed in on time and they pushed me to do my best, which is why I ended up with the grades I needed to get into university.
