Student advice and counselling

Student advice and counselling at City and Islington College

Our student services team can give you support with any problems you have during your time at College.

We'll help you sort out any problems so you can successfully complete your course.

We can provide help with practical issues such as financial worries, studying while on benefits, leaving home and emergency accommodation.

If you have any personal or emotional problems, have a specific concern or a general feeling that things are not okay while you're at College, then it may be helpful to talk them through with a counsellor.

Our team includes qualified and experienced counsellors who will offer you a confidential space in which to explore and understand what's going on.

If you have something you wish to discuss with us, please contact CounsellingServicesStaff@candi.ac.uk

'Staff identify quickly students who need extra help with their learning and provide excellent personal support. For example, students on access to higher education courses speak very highly of their teachers’ encouragement and support throughout their course. Identification of, and help for, students with poor mental health is particularly strong. Staff monitor carefully the most vulnerable students such as those who are in the care of the local authority, and the help they provide ensures that these students do well'
