E-Learning

E-learning means using information and communication technologies to help you study and learn.

Students learning on the computers

In your own time

Our virtual learning environment - Blackboard - let's you access course materials including quizzes and multimedia interactive learning materials over the Web, in your own time. Your Microsoft Web email account will allow you to communicate with classmates, teachers, the Learning Centre and student support staff.

At College

We're proud of our “Classrooms of the Future” where teachers can project their presentations, virtual learning area and web pages to the class, as well as using sound, images and DVDs easily in lessons. Many classrooms feature interactive boards, which are like 21st century blackboards on which teacher's notes and class work can be stored digitally, printed out and saved to view later.

We've invested a lot of time and money in technology to support your learning. You'll get a very fast internet connection (10MB) and computers and projectors in every classroom. And we're working towards providing 1:1 computer access.

Jemma Blake

I studied AVCE Art & Design (replaced by Art and Design BTEC National Diploma) as I wasn't sure which aspect of art I wanted to develop. Doing this course gave me the opportunity to experiment with all aspects of Art & Design, including Photography. As a result, I have decided to take photography at university and I aim to specialise in cinematography.
