Students perform famous musical for local secondary schools09 January 2018
Our Sixth Form students put on an amazing production of Little Shop of Horrors for local secondary schools, just before the Christmas break.
Our sixth formers performed the famous musical to an audience made up of students from local schools, City of London Academy Islington, City of London Academy Highgate Hill, Arts & Media School Islington, and Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School.
Candi's Coordinator of Performing and Visual Arts, Bryan Johnston said:
Our supportive and hardworking production company worked tirelessly to put this show together. The work of the performers, technical crew and musicians was, as ever, inspirational. Our young visitors from local schools thoroughly enjoyed the show!
The production is a timely reminder of just how important the arts are within the curriculum. At City and Islington we pride ourselves on our extensive offer of performing and visual arts A Level courses and the creative, vibrant spaces that we provide to nurture our students and the creative process.
It was a fantastic way to say goodbye to the autumn term and 2017. We look forward to more community projects with our local schools in the future. We hope you enjoy the pictures!
