City and Islington College launched their collaboration with award-winning PR firm, Weber Shandwick, last week, with SBTV founder Jamal Edwards giving the keynote speech.
Jamal's keynote was a question and answer session, in an effort to respond directly to our students' thoughts about how they can break into the digital industry.
He spoke about being fearless in the pursiut of goals and not to worry about failing or if you don't have the best equipment: "It doesn't matter what you have, just do it to the best of your ability."
Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global communications and engagement firms, has combined with Candi to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to consider a career in public relations.
Colin Byrne, Weber Shandwick’s Chief Executive Officer, UK & EMEA, also provided inspirational insight to students about how to make a start in the public relations industry and on which skills recruiters are currently looking for.
"It doesn't matter what you have, just do it to the best of your ability."
