Fantastic Open Day at Sixth Form Centre and Centre for Applied Sciences

14 November 2017

City and Islington College hosted a wonderful Open Day on Saturday 11 November 2017 with one of our largest attendances ever. It was a huge pleasure to see so many young people and parents/guardians coming through our doors.

With such a large attendance, our amazing student ambassadors were busy helping attendees throughout the day. We were very lucky to have student ambassodors from past and present to help. Arfin and Amanda were helping our Geography department, even though they were in the middle of their final year of study at university. They had some great words  to say about their time at City and Islington.

Arfin said: “I really enjoyed my time at Candi, the style of teaching definitely set me up for university. Geography at A level was the best decision I made!”

Amanda said: “Candi was really like a mini university for me, it gave me independence and the teachers encouraged me to aim high when choosing what university I wanted to go to.”

Our Director, Peter Murray, was also on hand to deliver a talk about all the fantastic things about the College, both the Sixth Form Centre and the Centre for Applied Sciences.

We hope everyone who attended had a good time, and especially enjoyed the welcome song put on by our student greeters (which you can view on our Twitter page)!
