City and Islington Student Digital Ambassadors

03 March 2017

After the successful promotion of their new service at the WKCIC Group TeachMeet last December, the Student Digital Ambassadors have been busy working on a variety of initiatives for City and Islington College.  They have designed and delivered a number of digital skills workshop, including inductions on MyCandi, Webmail, MyProgress and Moodle for ESOL students. They have also trained Health and Social Care students in using Evernote for individual and collaborative notetaking and are due to run a further session on undertaking research using online survey tools after half term.

In addition, the ambassadors have provided feedback on the usability of MyProgress and discussed possible improvements with our ProMonitor lead.  The ambassadors will be supporting the “We are all immigrants” event at the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the end of February through a range of activities including the development of an interactive map celebrating the diversity of students.

The ambassadors also recently visited the BETT Show to help investigate current developments and innovations in digital education.  Digital ambassadors continue to recommend their favourite apps and latest technology on the Teach Learn Digital blog.
