16-18 ESOL Students ‘All On Board’ at Islington Boat Club

03 March 2017

Over a series of six afternoons between November and January, 16-18 ESOL students had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the ‘All On Board’ programme run by Islington Boat Club.

They were able to try a range of new activities supervised by members of the boat club which included: kayaking, power boating, mountain biking, canal boating and learning how to navigate the canal through the locks. Despite some occasionally inclement weather, the students really enjoyed the new challenges.

Nhi Pham, one of the ESOL students said:  “I want to say thank you so much to Chris and his team at the Islington Boat Club. Although the weather was very cold, they were very kind and enthusiastic when they helped us. I had a beautiful time when I came to the Club.”
