About the framework
This intermediate apprenticeship provides staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to help businesses buy goods and services. It offers an effective route to a career in Supply Chain Management in a range of organisations and industries.
The apprenticeship covers all aspects of managing supply, including purchasing, expenditure, inventory management, delivery and receipt of goods, and quality control. It enables apprentices to gain practical, on-the-job experience whilst working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
The Supply Chain Management Apprenticeship trains around 300 new apprentices annually, and has been used by employers since 2008.
The apprenticeship covers the technical skills and knowledge in the Level 2 QCF Certificate in Supply Chain Operations, Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT, and Employer Rights and Responsibilities in the Logistics industry.
Applicants must be employed in a supply chain role. There is no age limit for this apprenticeship, and no specific entry requirements.
