Teachers at the College have been great advisors to me and have really helped me progress

Nasir Uddin

Nasir Uddin

Studied: BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences

Destination: Working as a Personal Trainer, Team Manager and Coach for the London Youth Games.

Taking an exercise and sports science course at City and Islington College opened up a new world for Nasir Uddin.

He said: “Studying sports science at the Centre for Applied Sciences at the College was the best decision I made. I always knew athletes were great, but the question was why and how? Why were they different, how did they optimise performance when they needed, and how did coaches manage them? These questions all began to be answered as I started delving into anatomy and physiology at the College.”

“Teachers at the College have been great advisors to me and have really helped me progress and become a much wiser individual. I want to become a unique trainer who helps people live healthily with a focus on mental wellbeing. I also want to work in exercise physiology, psychology, or in the strength and conditioning field.”
