About the course

The level 4 Certificate in Nutrition is relevant for individuals who require an understanding of nutrition and diet and their effect on health. It is particularly relevant for people working in the health, fitness or catering professions who might have a role in the promotion of healthy eating or the preparation of meals, menus and diets. The learning outcomes include coverage of the nutritional requirements for a healthy diet, the effect of diet on health and the importance of hydration.

You need to have a Level 2 qualification in Nutrition or a related subject, or equivalent experience.

You will need to pass an online assessment and a written test.

You will be assessed through coursework, assignments and practical activities.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Level 4 Award in Nutrition. Following this, you can progress to a higher education course in Nutrition.
