About the course
The aim of this qualification is to prepare adults to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years.
You will need to complete the college assessment and attend an interview.

You will complete unit assignments such as:

- Play Development and Learning for School Readiness
Due to the short time scale to complete you will need to allow additional time to study independently.
Units of work will be assessed internally using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
Being in a workplace setting is essential to complete all the course requirements.
Upon achievement of this qualification, learners can progress into various job roles in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors, such as: • Nursery assistant • Classroom assistant • Pre-school assistant
