In the second year, you will study three additional Core maths modules (Core 4, Further Pure 2 and Further Pure 3) and three applied maths modules (Mechanics, Statistics and Decision Maths).
Successful completion of the first year leads to an AS Level in Further Mathematics. Successful completion of the second year leads to an A Level in Further Mathematics. Both years are assessed by written exam.
Maths and Further Maths are among the bedrock qualifications of the education system, prized by universities and employers alike. An A Level in Further Maths could lead you into the study of Maths, Applied Maths or the Sciences at University level.
