I chose to study on the Childcare CACHE Diploma course having left university to do a teaching degree, as I didn't feel very confident in my abilities. The course was just what I needed! It combined theory with practical placements, which enabled me to continually develop my understanding of the subject. I then went on to do the Early Years Foundation Degree, which was excellent as it allowed me to continue working whilst gaining my qualification. I thought that for both courses, the subject content was excellent - very interesting and pertinent. I found that the theory was easily linked to any practical work and that the teachers were incredibly inspiring due to their genuine passion and knowledge in the subject. I am now a Childcare lecturer at the College, which just goes to show that it IS achievable!
