About the course

This Intermediate course covers skills needed for taking good quality digital photos and enhancing them digitally using image manipulation software such as Photoshop.

The aim of the cutting edge photography course is to provide the knowledge and skills required for a career as a professional photographer or as a keen hobbyist.

As this is an intermediate level course, students would have either finished the Introduction to Digital Photography course or have a sound knowledge of their equipment and using the computer.

You will explore the workings of your camera while daily photographing a theme. Each lesson will include an introductory talk and technical seminar followed by a field trip to put into practice the skills learned.

Locations will include places where we can explore the following photography topics; people and portraiture, architecture and the urban landscape, nature, travel.

This is an up-to-date course covering every aspect of photography. The business of photography is not just about award winning images, it's also about the right picture at the right time. Newspapers, magazines and websites worldwide are constantly on the lookout for new and interesting material. The opportunities are enormous and always growing.

There is no formal assessment during this course. You will receive a College certificate upon completion.

Take a higher level course program or work individually to develop your skills.
