Studying: Level 2 and 3 Childcare Apprenticeship

I started off doing a Health and Social care course in college, based on the advice of my family I decided to do a childcare Apprenticeship. After reviewing their advice I came to the conclusion that it would be the smoothest route for me to take as it enables me to progress onto university.

"A typical day at college involves a lot of work, we have open discussions about the different areas of childcare and, we go into depth about the roots of childcare and the founding Acts of Child Law, it is really interesting.

"In the nursery, I have a number of roles that I complete on a daily basis; I assist with the daily routines for example every week I sit down with my co-workers to devise a weekly plan for the children.I am hoping to progress onto university and to either study a pediatric nursing course or Child Psychology.

"My plan is then to become a pediatric nurse dealing with children or a child psychologist. I also hope to own my own business one day.

"The college has supported me a lot, they have assisted me with finding employment, they have provided me with the necessary information which I can put into practice."
