Accounting - AAT Level 2 Certificate
About the course
Administered by the Association of Accounting Technicians, the UK's leading professional body for accountants, this standalone qualification will equip you for your first job in accountancy, or for further study.
The L2 Certificate in Accounting will prepare you for junior and entry level accounting roles by giving you a solid foundation in finance administration - covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping and basic costing principles. To further develop your skills you can go on to study the Intermediate and Advanced courses and achieve the full AAT Accounting Qualification.
You should have fluent written and oral communication skills (maths and English at L1) and these will be tested at a formal interview prior to full enrolment.

The course consists of 5 units:
- Basic costing
- Computerised accounting
- Work effectively in accounting and finance
- Processing bookkeeping transactions
- Control accounts, journals and the banking system
Each of the 5 units is assessed via a computer-based exam.
Please be aware that the fee for the course includes AAT registration fees and exam fees (including one resit).
After completing the Introductory Certificate in Accounting, you can: ¿ Start earning straight away ¿ Progress to the AAT L3 Intermediate Diploma in Accounting
