Studying: Level 3 childcare Apprenticeship

"I already work in childcare with children from the age range of 6 months to 4 years old and I wanted to do a level 3, as this was the best route to work in a school as a nursery practitioner.

"A typical day at work can be quite intense as there is a lot of work to do however, I do feel it is worthwhile as I am able to gain relevant experience which I can put into practice, overall I would say I really enjoy it. I gain a lot of knowledge at college, I learn more things each day that I can put into practice and It enables me to reflect on my working practice.

"I think my biggest challenge has been learning to balance full time work with studying, but I am able to manage as the college provides a lot of support. I plan to successfully complete the course and eventually own my own child minding business. I would recommend doing an apprenticeship, it is extremely beneficial for people on low income.
