Islington Council’s Courses for Islington Residents

Every year, Islington Council’s Adult and Community Learning service offers a range of adult and family learning courses from its learning centres across Islington.

This year, City and Islington College and the Council have joined together to offer an even greater selection of courses for developing skills for getting a job or preparing for further education.

Information on these courses is provided in this brochure: Adult and Community Learning Brochure

The courses provided by Islington Council are free, but are only available to Islington residents or parents with children in Islington schools. Learners must be 19 or over, unemployed, or low-waged and receiving benefits to qualify.

The courses provided by the College are available to anyone (not just Islington residents). Many are free for those in receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance or unemployed on benefits, and where fees apply learners may be eligible for financial support.
