Principal, staff and students at Buckingham Palace
Students and staff from City and Islington College proudly
accepted their prestigious award yesterday at the Queen’s
Anniversary Prize ceremony, becoming the first and only general
further education college to win the award twice.
The College won the award for 'Creating Pathways to Employment
and Higher Education in the Sciences', celebrating the performance
of its science provision which was described as outstanding by
Ofsted in 2004.
Her Majesty The Queen presented medals to Principal Frank
McLoughlin, Director of Applied Sciences Derek Puddick and Chair of
Governors Jack Morris.
