Ofsted inspection 2008

 Ofsted Outstanding provider 2007/2008

We've always believed that inspection, however challenging, gives us a real opportunity to demonstrate what we do and what is achieved here throughout the year. The College was inspected in 2004, when it was judged to be ‘Outstanding’. When Ofsted returned in 2008; they concluded that the College had further improved and had joined a handful of colleges - and the only FE College in London - judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in every single measure.

Summary of grades awarded

Effectiveness of provision Outstanding: Grade 1

Capacity to improve Outstanding: Grade 1

Achievement and standards Outstanding: Grade 1

Quality of provision Outstanding: Grade 1

Leadership and management Outstanding: Grade 1

Equality of opportunity Outstanding: Contributory Grade 1

I wanted to improve my reading and writing skills. The teachers are supportive and they make sure you get a lot of help when you need it. I would like to get a job helping old people and I'm planning to continue my studies at City and Islington College, says Michael, who joined our Skillsbase programme.
